Wim Hof, Breathing, Cold Exposure with Jesse Coomer

This week on Mobility Athletes Radio, I had the pleasure of speaking with Jesse Coomer. This is Jesse’s second time appearing on the podcast!

Jesse is a Certified Wim Hof Method Instructor. He was part of the first group of individuals to become certified to train others in WHM and has trained directly under Wim hof himself. Today he serves as a certified Personal Trainer, English Professor, Breathworker, and meditator.

Jesse and Nicole discuss the benefits of utilizing your own breathing as a piece of your daily training as well as both hot and cold temperatures. Below is an overview of the protocols Jesse recommends for athletes.

Everyday Athletes Protocol:

15 min breath work

10 min cold shower

1 hour fitness including mobility and compensation work

Professional Athlete Protocol:

15 min breath work

10 min Cold shower

2-3 hours of training

Contrast Training 4-5days per week

3 rounds of 15-30 min sauna (HR 150) & 8-10 min Cold Shower (HR 80)
